FAQ's About Bathtub, Tile, & Countertop Refinishing
Q. How long will a refinished bathtub
and ceramic tile surround last?
A. Fortunately, it all depends on you. Just like a
new bathtub and tile, the finish will retain a shiny, beautiful look
for many years with basic care and maintenance.
Q. Can't I use a cheap do-it-yourself
kit from the store?
A. Absolutely - but the results will probably be less
than you hope for. For the professional, smooth, glossy, long-lasting
finish that you want use a professional you trust. We refinish many
failed DIY kits. There is a fee of $89-$199 to remove failed
coating from a DIY kit.
Q. How durable are refinished
bathtubs?
A. All Surface Renew uses the most technologically advanced
coating available to us. These finishes are specially designed to
stand up to daily use and don't require special care. Just like
a newly manufactured bathtub, a refinished surface can be chipped or
scratched if it's abused.
Q. Do refinished tubs look painted?
A. No. The process we use involves using a fine-finish spray gun
process, which means you won't be able to tell the tub has been
refinished at all. No brush marks.. You don't get that
with a do-it-yourself refinishing kit from the store.
Q. How long does it take to refinish a
bathtub?
A. A standard sized bathtub, in reasonable condition, takes between
3 to4 hours to refinish. The tub will normally be ready to use
within 24 hours.
Q. How does refinishing compare to
replacement costs?
A. Refinishing costs vary across the country but refinishing will
almost always be a fraction of the total cost of replacing a bathtub
or ceramic tile surround. Replacing a bathtub and surround can
easily cost $2200 or more when you consider the cost of removal,
plumbing, setting new tile, etc. Refinishing can often save you up
to 75% compared to the cost of removal and replacement! Call
800-923-9098 for an estimate from our professionals.
Q. Is white the only color you have?
A. No. We can match an existing color or create
almost any custom color you wish.
Q. Can All Surface Renew fix chips,
scratches and cracks?
A. Chips, scratches, and cracks can usually be repaired during the
preparation stage of the refinishing process.
Q. Is refinishing just for bathtubs?
A. All Surface Renew can refinish a variety of surfaces including
fiberglass shower stalls, kitchen Formica counter tops and other
laminates, ceramic tile, cultured marble vanity tops, and acrylic
tubs.
Q. How does refinishing work on Kitchen
countertops?
A. Our countertop refinishing works extremely well on all types of
formica countertops, Corian, laminates, tile vanities, and even
cultured marble counters. The finish is extremely durable and easy
to clean. A variety of colors and textures are available including
our revolutionary stone finishes which give the appearance of
granite countertops, but at significantly lower costs.

refinishing, and tub conversions. Our client satisfaction and

refinishing and can take weeks from ordering to installation date.

our results!
